DORRIE AND THE HALLOWEEN PLOT

It's so obvious you only wonder how it was left for Dorrie's eleventh adventure: the little witch, in her mother's absence, practices flying the big witch's broomstick and lands in a tree, ruining the princess costume her mother insists she wear for the Great Sorceress's Halloween party. From the treetop, though, Dorrie overhears the Halloween Demons plotting to snitch the Sorceress's master book of magic recipes, and so instead of being scolded about the costume she ends up heroine of the day, not only saving the book and the Sorceress, but finding the one long-missing recipe in a substitute costume culled from the Sorceress' closet. This ends with a goodnight kiss and a flickering bedside jack-o'-lantern, and we couldn't think of a better summation of the formula that has kept Dorrie flying all along.
