SEEING STARS

A light once-over of general astronomy, set down in easy language and presuming no previous acquaintance with the universe. Not only the stars (complete with seasonal charts of constellations) but the moon, sun, planets, and even ""spaceship earth"" are covered in a survey that ranges from the causes of the seasons and the composition of the moon to the life cycles of different stars and the unknown climates beyond our galaxy. There's little here that couldn't be compiled from elementary science texts and NASA handouts, but as a browser's introduction it's up to date and all together and the photographs (from various sources) are uniformly impressive.
