by Paul Brown ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
This is ostensibly a story of how a family of children acquired a puppy and made that puppy a good member of the family. But the important aspect of the book-which gives it a two-star rating, is the fact that for the first time, here is a puppy training book for children. From the moment the children knew they could have a dog, the question of judging the puppies, of selection, of handling, were told. Then the house- breaking, the obedience training, the training into knowing friends from foes, was followed, step by step. The Paul Brown illustrations are fine.
