BUD PLAYS JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL

Bud Baker scraps and skirmishes for his right to wear the gold jersey of a varsity member of the Roosevelt Junior High School Rough Riders football team. Pluck and persistence bring him the football shoes he needs and carry him past initial disappointments to a place in the sun. Junior high football tyros will block, pass, tackle and score with Bud as he overcomes external opposition and his own tendency to act first and think later. Principles of offensive and defensive line play are summarized at the end of the story and exemplified in terms of Bud's participation on the field. A pigskin plot strictly for boys.
