OUTLAW BLUES

The author is the twenty-year-old editor of Crawdaddy, the first of the rock magazines and this contains articles, interviews and extracts he wrote and directed in self-conscious hip. Most of it is a paean to the form and a lot seems as obsolete as last year's pop pick of the week. But for the hard-core hard-rocks the discussion goes into style, themes and images of such groups as the Beach Boys, the Stones, Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, The Doors and individuals like Dylan, Brian Wilson and Aretha. For the head set.
