OFF THE BEATEN PATH

This volume gathers together a diverse group of articles, sermons, and essays, by a prominent Norwegian religious leader. The twelve topics range from ""Christian Lying"" through ""Signs and Wonder"" to ""What is Faith?"" The thought is closely rooted in Biblical thought, but the general attitude toward the Bible is liberal. It may be doubted whether American Christian readers will think of themselves as facing questions and issues of faith and behavior in as sharp form as the author seems to assume. The writing is direct and lively, although the development of ideas seems at times to proceed by somewhat free association.
