SEAL HUNTER

This translation from the Noregian brings us a steady, rapidly moving adventure. In Oslo, Anders, who is in his late teens, works in a machine shop- from which he is unfortunately fired over a misunderstanding. Youthfully indignant, Anders runs off without his parents' consent and joins his Uncle Jon who captains a sealer in the North Seas and gives Anders a summer job as mess boy. Following adventures in the icebound seal country include a night spent on an iceberg with a polar bear, as well as all the things Anders learns that qualify him to return as a real hunter next time. Straightforward, unassuming, informative.
