Another of these town clown folksy crime stories, in which the hero is a chauffeur and general handyman taking a correspondence course as a detective. The book is made up of his letters to his instructor, and each episode involves application of some phase of the course, arson, hotel dick, bank robbery, and so on. A trick idea- and consistently done, for those that like this kind of spoofing sleuthing.
