THE THING IN THE BROOK

Engrossing and amusing and definitely original. Two similar murders -- one of a much hated armer, the second of the town drunk. The detecting is done by a young married couple and their aspiring-to-be-a-detective friend. The whole town hated the murdered farmer, so the suspects were multiple. Sprightly dialogue.
