The old fashioned bard-like quality of the Arabian Nights pervades The Seven Voyages of Sindbad, and for those readers who enjoy that special flourish in storytelling this should have a market. The voyages themselves seem calm today next to some modern adventure stories and certainly without the image of Douglas Fairbanks enacting them, they may even lack color. Singled out of larger collections and illustrated separately in colored woodcuts, this makes a nice addition to any library of classics.
