ONE WORLD IN THE MAKING

This volume is the outgrowth of a series of lectures given before the Lowell Institute in Boston by the well-known professor of philosophy at Harvard. Dedicated to Wendell Willkie, it outlines with Dr. Perry's customary optimism ""What it takes to make a world"" -- ""Moral foundations of a world order"" -- ""Political frame of a world order"" -- ""World culture and national culture"" etc. The contribution lies more in the form of generalization and philosophic approach, rather than specific details of this new order. But the general tone is hopeful, the vision large and generous, if sometime academic. Of general rather than specific interest -- and rather limited.
