FITNESS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Some assorted articles have been assembled for ""young families"" or ""families who want to stay young"" to promote fitness which is, at one point here, designated as a total failure in this country. Dr. White, who discusses, as expected, coronary disease, is joined by some well known names (Bonnie Prudden, Janet Travell- former white House physician, Vern Harper, J. Roswell Gallagher) and others who recommend the right regimen from diet to exercise; Ruth Evans writes about music and rhythms for children, Ted Shawn on the dance for an older group; there are extensive calisthenics (with diagrams), sports, as well as a backyard program involving more than the Sunday ritual of the barbecue. All of it serves well do to good.
