MURDER FOR ART'S SAKE

Detective Lieutenant Nathan Shapiro was used to a Brooklyn beat which left him unprepared for some of the wilder denizens of Greenwich Village. There's a suicide (murder?), an all too nude portrait, an irate husband, a mysterious painting that may or may not have been the work of the dead artist and a bevy of models making the scene. The art is mad modern, the plot is not, but it's a passable diversion.
