CASEY AGONISTES And Other Science Fiction and Fantasy Stories

McKenna, author of The Sand Pebbles, also wrote SF adventures with sweeping themes like the nature of reality and what makes men human. His heroes do battle with the Angel of Death (or a reasonable facsimile thereof), discover the truth behind fairytales, pass through an alien initiation rite, fight to capture a planet from the native flora, and escape from a drifting lifeboat into a strange new universe. For those who like their metaphysics tempered with a little machismo.
