WRONG-WAY ROOKIE

Wrong-wayed from the start, Willie Watson finally packs a baseball stadium to capacity, puts his team in the championship running. The story, good in its descriptions of the various out of the ordinary situations emotions can create on the diamond, portrays Willie as a fresh young farm-hand who sasses his bosses and plays haphazard ball in his position as catcher. But he has personality and a certain knowledge of what's-going-on that makes the crowd love his bumblings. Pleasant excitement for the fans.
