THE FAMILY BOOK OF GAMES

The closest competition this will face is Margaret Mulac's Family Fun and Activities (1958- and only one of several) which had admittedly the same purpose- the strengthening of family relationships, physical and intellectual activity to offset the thralldom of the home screen. Mr. Kraus' selection of games is for all ages, groups- small and large, and areas of activity- indoors and out. There are tricks and puzzles and quizzes; social games and stunts; games for trips and excursions, or for particular settings- i.e. the beach or water; table games and others using simple equipment; dances; etc., etc. So that all in all no youngster of yours can answer ""Out"" and ""Nothing"" to the classic questions. Others than the home consumer (recreation group libraries, etc.) may feel that their needs have already been taken care of.
