CHRISTMAS TALES FOR READING ALOUD

Good family reading aloud -- where a collection is needed which suits all ages and tastes. In addition to the old standbys such as Dickens, Andersen, Lagerlof, there are many lesser known authors whose stories and poems are well adapted to the holiday season. The average reading time for each story is fifteen minutes. Where condensations have been made, the author's own words (and the integrity of the story) have been sustained. The material in the main aims at higher reading age than most in this series, seven would be about the youngest to find enjoyment, but adults will find many stories to their tastes as well.
