The author's last entry in the publisher's Science and Discovery Series was The Long Road to Man. His present book reflects his experience as a high school science instructor. He sets out the methods by which various organisms reproduce themselves from the simplest cells to the complexities of human reproduction. His presentation is forth-right and explores psychological aspects of human sexual behavior as well as the effect of hormones and glands. His chapter on the development of the embryo is excellently well explained and so are the accounts of the new research in chemistry applied to human genetics and the regeneration of tissue.
