THE PASTOR'S PRAYERBOOK

Most Protestant ministers have cherished and favorite prayers which they have culled from many sources and collections of prayer already published, some of which they had found and lost awhile, and many others of high inspiration and lasting value. For all such, and many other's who would learn to pray better, this prayer collection by Dr. Robert N. Rodenmayer, Professor of Pastoral Theology, the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley, California will be a God-send. Here are 600 of the best from ancient and contemporary sources, on all subjects and for all occasions, and a few of the best have been composed by Dr. Rodenmayer. No indication of origin or authorship appears in connection with any prayer. But each is numbered, and may be identified in the notes at the end of the book. This book of prayers should appeal to all Protestant clergy. It has a timeless relevance to man's need, even down to this day of mass media in the space age with its heightened anxieties and possibilities for good and evil.
