GRIMM'S FAIRY TALES

Again under the supervision of Josette Frank -- this selection of Grimm carefully avoids the gruesome horror stories, and tells- in competently modernized form- familiar and favorite tales. Specifically these are:- The Brave Little Tailor, The Musicians of Bremen, Snow White and Rose Red, The Hare and the Hedgehog, The Shoemaker and the Elves, Rumpelstiltskin, The Golden Goose, The Sleeping Beauty. The illustrations by Gertrude Elliott Espenscheid, most of them in color, are decorative- but, for my taste, a bit too saccharine. Good merchandise value.
