NO MORE WITH ME!

A lean, physical and alcoholic version of a marine's return. Mike comes back to find Jake, the girl he'd loved, engaged to Val; he can't get her out of his mind, nor quite believe that the attraction they'd felt- that is still there- wont win out. He fights with Val over Jake -- and loses -- and losers again, when driving Jake home to the midwest he still can't win her back. She leaves her with her parents, and goes on to a beer and bourbon progression, still clinging to her memory.... Introducing a young writer, this carries the stamp of sincerity, and is symptomatic of these times, even if it is not fully realized nor resolved.
