THE WOLF WHO WAS SORRY

The Wolf Who Was Sorry"" (because she took the hermit's bread without being bidden) is the first of fourteen short stories in a similar vein except that the wolf simply hangs her head in shame while most of the other animals talk out their troubles. A few might supply situations for picture books but in page after page of text they're both inconsequential and inappropriate.
