INSECT ENGINEERS

Hard as one finds it to be on peaceful, let alone friendly, terms with auts, this fascinating book cannot help but leave even the most skeptical of humans with a new attitude towards the insects which are so like themselves. And if the author has a subject of unfailing interest, she is also able to present it quietly and factually and with her own amazement held in just enough check to let the reader's be the more. The survey is complete too, covering local American ants and tropical varieties as well as instructions on how to keep ants for home observation. The author has done her own clear drawings and diagrams too.
