THE HAPPY ANSWER

A story of mistaken adoption, corrected before it is too late, centers around young Dawne who has for many years lived with Aunty Shaw. Among Aunty Shaw's boarders, whom she takes in to help the State Agency, Dawne has been there the longest but she fears that someday she too will be taken away. That time arrives with a visit from wealthy Mrs. Seaver who wants to take Dawne for a year's trial. Though the offer seems attractive, Dawne hates leaving Miss Allison, who works for the Agency, even more than Aunty Shaw and while life with the Seavers provides every luxury, it lacks the mutual trust and affection that eventually sends Dawne back. Miss Allison is about to be married and Dawne is granted her dearest wish in becoming her daughter. Sincere.
