COME TO THE FARM

This is both a picture book and a first reader, -- the vocabulary based on beginning reading ability, type size and visual aids in the excellent photographs are all keyed to interest and satisfy children at primer level. But adults- trying to rationalize the order of pictures- numbers- questions- and recapitulation under ""Who Said It?"" find it a trifle confused. Perhaps better to forget the switch back and forth until the child works it out for himself. Take each picture with its text independently, without trying to read any continuity into it.
