SEA RAIDERS HO!

World War II adventure in a submarine, with action plus the personal problems of men in the close confines of the ""pig oat"". Spike and Tom, 'green' boys with promise, are assigned to a seasoned crew, and prove their worth. Detailed background material of training, of tests, of important missions, narrow escapes and lively adventure. Montgomery -- without being a classic writer for boys -- is a good yarnster. His type of story often helps wean boys from the sensational comics, what I call good bridging books. In format -- as with the book above -- the suggestion is a younger audience than the text.
