The hows and whys of one kind of shooting or another -- kinds of blinds -- how to construct (this from experience and observation) -- placing of decoys (this by anecdote) -- guns and dogs and duck calls -- the knowhows that make the difference between a good shot and a poor -- a good sportsman and a poor one. A ""natural"" for that sporting book market -- starved for good material -- as well as opportunity to ply their hobby -- during war years. Lynn Bogue Hunt as illustrator (many in color) is sufficient passport to success.
