THE DREAM DEPARTMENT

Makes for some wide grins, as pixey-haunted Perelman discourses on advertising, magazine articles, Sohrafft's meals, bores, eccentric Christmas ideas, columnists, jitterbug literature, publishers' catalogues, and so on. Moments in these casting out of personal devils that take one way up; there are a few that fall flat; there are gratuitous dramas, and there is a vision of Mr. P. shuddering away from his horrows of bees, fish, underwear, dentists, tobacco, cup cakes and assorted nightmares.
