CONTINENTE VACIO (Empty Continent)

A young Mexican intellectual's impressions of New York and the principal cities of South America. Although sometimes marred by triviality, a peculiar Mexican wit makes it entertaining, particularly the chapters on the United States. His discussion of Latin American literature gives a nice bird's eye view. Will appeal primarily to readers interested in Pan Americanism but is by no means propaganda.
