BILL CLARK, American Explorer

Another Pioneer Book, and though oversimplified, an excellent introductory book to the subject of the Lewis and Clark expedition. The factual data is based on primary source material, a procedure that educators today heartily endorse. Tousey has done the best job of the three (the others are Kit Carson and Davy Crockett) but Clark is a less glamorous figure so needs a bit more pushing for the market. One criticism is sure to be made,- the playing down of Lewis in order to center Clark. Paste-down on cloth binding; reenforced.
