THE CRIMSON FEATHER

Ann returning reluctantly to her hometown in the South, goes to bat for her frightened sister Jean as Jean's father-in-law is murdered, her mother-in-law attempts to alienate her husband, Bill, her sister-in-law tries to get control of her child, and attempt is made to unsettle her mind. Bill puts up no defense for his wife, until his mother is victim No.2 -- and Bill comes to Ann's aid, and ultimately she helps the police solve the case. Pleasant puzzlement which is female but not fussy.
