THE FOOLISH DINOSAUR FIASCO

This latest entry in Corbett's uncharacteristically feeble easy-reading series brings Nick and his dog Bert up against their old enemy Dr. Merlin when they enter a tunnel to investigate Dinosaur Land at a deserted carnival. Shrunk in passage through the magical tunnel, Nick is put to work training Dr. Merlin's lifelike inflated brontosaurs; but then the wizard sics a real live tyrannosaurus on Bert, and in the mad scramble that ensues boy and dog land back in the tunnel, picking up in size as they retrace their steps--while Merlin and his dog Arthur (""Tyrannosaurus Rex was Arthur in an inflated dinosaur suit!"") end up with their scheme and their set in a shambles. Flimsy.
