THE BLAZING HILLS

With the men of Fredericksburg, Texas away negotiating a treaty and the suspicious Indians burning signal fires in the hills, young Sarah calms the frightened children by telling them that the fires are ""the Easter Bunny himself. . . boiling eggs in great big pots."" The incident, though slight, is a true one (it seems this is one treaty that was kept) and Cuffari has gone all out to make it sufficiently scary/dramatic.
