by Sister M. Catherine Frederic ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 23, 1964
Sister Catherine Frederic has here offered Catholics a real service-manual -- a source book on Catholic doctrine (other than the catechism) and practices which will be of use to parents, teachers, professional men and even writers. Students, especially in high school and college, convert classes and study clubs will welcome this compact summary of much of Catholic practice. Bibliographies are appended to each section, although some apparently have not been updated to include extremely valuable books in various key areas just recently published. Elementary and factual with sufficient detail to be satisfying. A Handbook of Catholic Practices deals with popular devotions, symbols, the Mass, canon law, the liturgical cycle and much, much more. A glossary of terms increases the reference usage of this manual.
