LOVE IN WINTER

Part of the panel of which Company Parade, published last May, was an opening wedge. This novel is not, necessarily, dependent on Company Parade for comprehension, though the interest is definitely heightened by a familiarity with many of the characters, particularly that of Hervey Russell, met in the earlier volume. A chance for a double sale. This is the story of the storm-tossed passage of her love for her cousin, a book in which the interest centers in the presentation of a woman's emotional problems, and intellectual response to a distorted period -- post-war England -- rather than in plot structure. A book women will like better than men -- and women who want more than just story.
