NORTH TO ADVENTURE

This is the Peter Freuchen sort of thing, shorn of the romantic aspects. An autobiography of an officer of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who, with a lieutenant, spent three years in a post in the Barren Lands. The record of their life, of the details of police duty,of the administering of frontier justice, of the Eskimos, of hunting, trapping, fishing, of adventures that befell them. It is -- of its kind -- good reading, and provides an authentic background story for more highly colored fiction dealing with ""the Mounties"". Sell to men who like northwestern books, true adventure, etc. Should have a plus sale for boys.
