Byline; Miami, where Railey Potter considers the arrival of his ex-fiancee Heila, whom he still loves; an affair done in by a five night stand with his current, ex-pregnant, wife Evelane. Railey hires Heila. Evelane fires Heila, and subsequently is killed by a murderer who leaves a trail of poisonous red beads... berries from Haitian voodoo rites, of which Heila knows much. But Railey is still suspect number one, according to dumb little Cuban cop Angel; there's only Railey's future inheritance and a dope smuggling connection to be broken. Give an author enough noose, and you can outguess him.
