THE GOLDEN STALLION

A grand horse story sure of an eager reception, well-written and with plenty of punch, as well as sensitivity and good values. The Golden Stallion is leader of a herd of wild horses, and young Bob spies on him and sets out from the ranch with his father to make the horse his own. After great effort, they catch and tame him, and make a friend of the beautiful creature. Though not happy in captivity, the Golden Stallion is loyal and saves Bob's life when a mountain cat attacks him. Bob, in return, gives the Golden Stallion freedom to go back to his band and the free life of the High Sierras. A first rate yarn.
