THE DARK WINDOW

Report repeated from the January 1st bulletin, as follows- postponed for S.E.P. serialization. ""Ray Cassidy, night security officer at the Hotel Imperial and brooding over the shooting a year back which had cost him his job on the force, his girl- and perhaps his courage, flagellates himself further when his subordinate is killed by an unknown assailant. A great impersonation, of an heroic, stoic Bishop released from a Communist concentration camp, gives Cassidy his chance to prove himself and expose a shabby scheme. Not as chilling as his earlier books, but likeable and lively.
