JINGLE BABIES

Arma's full-color photographs may ring a bell with readers acquainted with Anne Geddes's work (The Twelve Days of Christmas, 1995, etc.) involving even younger infants than the ones dressed up here. Arma clothes babies in Christmas gear, from an elaborate tree costume to a gingerbread cookie, including two children plunked right into stockings. A slight rhyming text ties it all together. It's not great art, but it will make a thoughtful stand-in for a Christmas card, as well as a festive standby for the teething set.
