Pro golfer Bolt (yclept, he feels somewhat unfairly, ""Thunder""), aided by gleeful ghost, Mr. Griffith, has recreated some outstanding examples of tee-green tantrums. Shaft-snappings, trees collared with irons welded in the heat of rage, and one fine performance of a pro who drove himself head-first into the bank of a waterhole--preface the stratagems outlined in Bolt's Laws. Bad shots lead on to bad shots; accept the range of your handicaps and be grateful, sunny in spirit. Practice does not make perfect but for the ""tear-drop-shaped athlete,"" and others, it's a prerequisite for cussing, softly. Between advice to keep a calm attitude and tolerance for one's gaffes as well as glories, there are specifics on various shot attitudes, some growls about baseball, football and entertainment celebrities on the green, and a long, mournful dirge concerning the waterhole, the horrors of which no Bolt's Law can alleviate. Amusing balm for those chasing the birdie of happiness.
