RAMONA KNEW WHAT SHE WANTED

Ramona was a celebrity circus dog whose tour de force consisted of standing on her hind legs and pushing around a baby carriage with two doll puppies inside. When she became separated from her circus band, and was taken home by a little girl named Nancy, she was at first delighted with her new life but then took to moping by the side of a pond. Through a concerted effort; the neighborhood children drained the pond, where they uncovered a rusty old doll carriage for Ramona to push around to her heart's content, enjoying the best of her two worlds. The beige and green pencil illustrations have been carelessly and awkwardly tossed off. Only the most devoted dog hounds will be charmed by this canine heroine.
