JUDY GRANT, EDITOR

Another career book, and a good yarn, with plenty of sound advice interwoven with the story of Judy, who came from California, determined to make a place for herself in the literary world -- and who succeeded. Her success is a bit incredible, and I only hope young readers wont think it quite as easy as it sounds; and the story -- outside the vocational aspects -- is melodramatic and romantic by turns. But the ideals of publishing, and the many-faceted picture of editing are well handled.
