THE CHRISTMAS COOKIE BOOK

Specialized cookbook, but not quite so specialized as the title indicates. For though the big old fashioned kitchen- Germany translated to North Chicago- turned out this bewildering number of cookies as the Christmas season approached, gifts for friends and family, the average housewife will find many she can use the year round. The introductory chapter, with the feel of the kitchen, the odors, the spices, the paraphernalia conveys the contagion of the fun of cooking, shared by all the family. The recipes are divided into Cookies that keep; Cookies that keep a little while; Cookies in fancy shapes; Cookies that wont keep. And- the Christmas season past, cookies that tempt the year round. Commercial value as a suggestion for home earning-hints on packing, ingredients, tools.
