SURF FISHING

Surf casting calls for a ruggedness, skill and experience that fresh-water angling does not. Evanoff makes it all accessible to the tyro, and offers advanced information for the initiate. There are expected words on tackle, bait, and other accessories; valuable hints on wind, weather, water, and tides; and tips on the varying approaches demanded by sand, beaches, rocky shores and jetties and breakwaters. What kinds of fish can you catch, and where do you catch them? It takes a trained eye to tell, but Evanoff gives advice on striped bass (both coasts), channel bass, bluefish, weakfish and sea trout, pompano, and others from snook to sharks. With Evanoff's guidance, it looks like a sport you could swallow, hook, line, and sinker. This should reel the fishermen in.
