GOSPEL CRITICISM AND FORM CRITICISM

At a time when many scholars are wondering whether we haven't had quite too much criticism, it is interesting to find this little book--mainly an answer to Dibelius' From Tradition to Gospel -- 1934, in which he divided what he didn't throw out, into Paradigms, Tales and Legends -- Dr. Barnes' answer is a plea to go back to the early scholars to combine the best of the old with that of the new and to be sure in the midst of all this criticism not to throw out the Gospel. Bring this to the attention of the clergy and New Testament scholars.
