DRY RIVER FARM

A pleasant series of episodes and experiences pictures life in South Africa as it is lived by young Robin whose father has a farm in Hottentot country. As a year goes by there are wild animals and drought to contend with, but with hard times come good ones- a new school for the district, a visit to the sea, the excitement of a film company coming to shoot a movie. Light character analysis makes this an average book but it is still a useful description of South Africa and the natives and whites who live there.
