CARGOES IN THE SKY

The evolution of cargo freight planes is the subject of this highly factual and specialized book for young readers. The necessity and advantages of this type of freight transport is illustrated, and instances are cited in which the transportation of material by this means literally saved an entire economy. An intrinsically interesting topic, there is something too condensed, too pamphlet-like about the treatment here to recommend it as a book of general entertainment. However, its lucid and compact style should make it a distinct aid as a supplement to class work on the subject of transportation.
