A one-penny opera over in less than two hours featuring, again, Joe Reddman as he wonders about an old Cripple Creek, Colorado, mining legend come to life or death for gambler Amie Jacks, the girl who loved him for years, and the singer of sad songs who was their friend. Downing who's been credited with being a good writer, still gets off a line like ""washed the gunk out of other people's hearts."" But the story is livelier this time before it runs out.
