Beautifully written this is a description of the spiritual experience of the author in visiting a little known brotherhood of the Eastern Orthodox Church. The aim of the brotherhood is to practise the presence of God through silent mediation upon seven pictures which are central in their temple. It is a book which will be of interest to the mystically inclined. They will not find many books more exquisitely and reverentially written.
